Refund policy

Last updated 2026-07-12.

This policy explains when and how you can obtain a refund for a Docker HQ Pro subscription. It forms part of our Terms of service and applies to all paid purchases made through the Docker HQ website and mobile app.

1. Merchant of Record

Docker HQ Pro subscriptions are sold and processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"), which acts as the Merchant of Record for all purchases. Paddle handles payment, invoicing, tax, and the processing of refunds on our behalf. Your payment card or bank statement will show a charge from Paddle. Paddle's Buyer Terms and refund handling also apply to your purchase and are available at paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms.

2. Statutory cooling-off period

If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you have a statutory right to cancel a purchase within 14 days of the transaction date. Because Docker HQ Pro is digital content and a continuously supplied service, this right ends once you begin using the paid features, unless the service is faulty. Where the cooling-off period still applies, you will receive a full refund.

3. Standard refund window

Beyond any statutory right, we offer a discretionary 14-day refund window from the date of first purchase of a Pro subscription. If Pro has not met your expectations within those 14 days, contact us and we will refund the most recent payment in full. This discretionary window applies to a first purchase, not to subsequent automatic renewals.

4. Renewals

Pro subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your billing portal or the Account page; cancellation stops future renewals and you keep Pro access until the end of the period already paid for. Renewal charges are generally non-refundable once the new period has started. If you were charged for a renewal you did not intend and contact us promptly (within 14 days of the charge) without having materially used Pro in the new period, we will review the charge and typically issue a refund.

5. What is not refundable

  • Charges older than the applicable refund window, except where a statutory right or a service fault applies.
  • Partial periods after a mid-cycle cancellation — access continues until the end of the paid period instead.
  • Subscriptions cancelled or refunded due to a breach of our Terms of service or fraudulent activity.

6. Faulty or misdescribed service

Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights. If Pro is faulty, not as described, or unavailable for a prolonged period, you are entitled to a remedy regardless of the windows above. Contact us with the details and we will work with you and Paddle to resolve it.

7. How to request a refund

Email support@dockerhq.app from the address on your account and include the order or receipt reference from your Paddle email. You may also request a refund directly through the link in the receipt Paddle sent you at purchase. We aim to acknowledge requests within 2 business days.

8. Processing and timing

Approved refunds are issued by Paddle to the original payment method. Once approved, the funds typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card provider. Any taxes collected are refunded together with the payment where required by law.
