Terms of service
Last updated 2026-07-12.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Docker HQ website, mobile app, and related services (the "Service"), operated under the Nepali Programmer trading name ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The service
Docker HQ provides a mobile workspace for connecting to your own servers over SSH and inspecting and managing Docker resources you already control. The Service is a tool; you remain solely responsible for the servers you connect it to and for any actions you take on them.
Your Vault. Host credentials you save are protected by a Vault password that only you hold. We cannot access, reset, or recover it. If you lose your Vault password and your recovery key, the data protected by the Vault is permanently lost and we have no way to restore it. You are responsible for safely storing your recovery key, and you accept this risk as a condition of the zero-knowledge design.
Monitoring. Enabling monitoring for a host authorizes the Service to connect to that host on a schedule using the credentials you provide for that purpose, which are stored so that our infrastructure can decrypt them to connect (see the Privacy Policy). You represent that you are authorized to connect to and monitor any host you add.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- access systems you do not own or lack explicit permission to administer;
- use the Service to commit fraud, distribute malware, or carry out unlawful activity;
- interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or to other users;
- reverse engineer, resell, or misuse the Service except as permitted by law.
4. Plans, subscriptions, and billing
The Service offers a free, ad-supported tier and a paid Pro subscription. Pro subscriptions are sold and processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your billing portal or the Account page; cancellation stops future renewals and you keep Pro access until the end of the period already paid for. Prices may change on renewal with prior notice.
5. Refunds
Refunds are handled by Paddle and governed by our Refund policy, which forms part of these Terms. Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory refund or cancellation rights you may have as a consumer.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and content, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. You retain ownership of your own data and content.
7. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third parties such as Paddle for billing and the servers you choose to connect to. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, except those that cannot be excluded by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for data loss, downtime, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for damage to the servers or systems you connect to. Always keep backups and test changes outside production. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Termination
You can delete your account from the Account page at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are abusive or unlawful. On termination your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability) continue to apply.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, give reasonable notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at our place of operation, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. For questions, email support@dockerhq.app or see our Legal page.
